Our Action Zone is located between the rivers Maule in the north and Itata to the south. It involves five communes: Constitución, Chanco, Pelluhue, Cobquecura, Trehuaco and Coelemu in regions VII and VIII of Chile.
Maule and Itata Rivers provide drinking water to their surrounding communities and are home to many aquatic species. Both rivers also support our local tourism and are the basis for the supply of water for fishing and local agriculture.
All resources provided by the rivers and coastline are being impacted or threatened by pollution. Our existence is, unfortunately, due to severe impacts associated with the industry and prevent it should be noted in defense of our communities.
You can learn more about issues affecting the Maule and Itata rivers, as well as smaller intermediate affluent and those who feed them. You can also view our interactive map and find the sources of pollution affecting the waters are close to you
